Wei Ling's Journey
Hi, I am an accredited trainer with over 18 years of experience in the design and creative industry across Singapore and Malaysia. I specialise in creative, digital, and AI-enhanced training programmes that help individuals and organisations grow their capabilities and stay competitive in a rapidly evolving world.
My Journey Into Training
My path to becoming a trainer began with a significant turning point in my career. Years ago, while working in a multinational creative agency in Singapore, the company underwent a major retrenchment exercise that affected more than 500 employees including myself.
That moment forced me to pause, reflect, and evaluate my professional readiness.
Determined to rebuild, I dedicated the next three months to intensive self-learning. I spent more than seven hours each day relearning design fundamentals, exploring new creative software, and acquiring all the skills listed in recruitment portals. Over time, the knowledge, discipline, and clarity came together. Eventually, the effort paid off — I secured a new role with greater responsibilities and better growth prospects.
This experience taught me a powerful lesson:
Learning can transform lives.
It transformed mine.
Returning Home to Give Back
After many years of working in Singapore, I decided to return to my hometown (Kuching, Sarawak). Coming home gave me a new purpose. A good friend of mine encouraged me to take up training, reminding me how naturally passionate I was about teaching others. Throughout my career, I had always enjoyed guiding teammates, colleagues, and anyone eager to learn more about design and creative work.
The more I reflected, the clearer it became:
Sharing knowledge is something I truly love.
That was the beginning of my journey as a trainer. I wanted to contribute to Malaysia’s talent development and help elevate the creative and digital capabilities of our local workforce.
